One concept embedded in NaNoWriMo that I've always liked: It's only one month out of an entire life.
My goal is to spend more time this month writing and reading (online and offline) fiction, and less time writing and especially reading Internet stuff that isn't fiction.
Three exceptions to that last part: IMs, emails, and anything pertaining to The Northville Review.
All of that means minimal Twitter and Facebook reading and updates. It means very little Google Reader.
I'm always reluctant to contact people via IM and email because I'm worried it will be a nuisance. That's not the case with me, though. Ever. And honestly? I'm afraid November is going to get claustrophobic.
