Welcome to Costco, I love you.

Idiocracy...also known as the Mike Judge movie that Fox released very, very begrudgingly.

Saw it tonight. It was okay. There were parts that were amusing, but it was no Beavis and Butt-Head. Well, it kinda was, I guess. I wouldn't say it sucked, but I would say that the best part is probably the first half hour -- when you're introduced to the concepts of Carl's Jr. as both a restaurant and foster parent, and you meet a, um, brillant defense attorney.

There are people who wonder if this will end up being a cult classic a la Office Space. I suppose it could happen -- there are some memorable one liners and I'll probably snicker when I order at Starbucks for a little while. But I think Office Space caught on because people had a real affinity to the material, for obvious reasons. Monster trucks as rehab therapy is funny, but plenty of people have forgotten the new cover sheet on their TPS reports at least once.
